espritrelax offers a contemporary approach to Pilates that respects all six principles of classical Pilates (control, breath, concentration, flow, centering, precision). In addition, I incorporate modern scientific insights from anatomy and physiology as well as functional and natural movement mechanics into a teaching repertoire that makes the practice even more efficient, more effective and more powerful to bring you the best possible results.
All my Pilates exercises are mat-based exercises that can be done anywhere (well, almost). No machines or specific exercise equipment are needed, just a mat. Exercises are custom-tailored to your individual needs and goals to enable you to practice safely, progressively, and intelligently on every level.

YOGA & PILATES COMBO
Because Pilates shares many aspects with yoga posture practice (asana) I can create a practice for you that combines both disciplines and complements each other.
A Yoga & Pilates Combo session focuses on developing body control, building core strength, and increasing mobility and ranges of motion. Postures and exercises are performed with clear intention, concentration, and body awareness.
Knowledge of the basic yoga postures is recommended, but not required.
Each session is custom-tailored to your needs, and can range from gentle and nourishing to dynamic and challenging.
10 sessions of 1 hour are best to develop an effective home practice that can be adapted further as you progress.
DYNAMIC MAT PILATES
In this practice, you will be guided through a series of dynamic (fast-paced) mat work exercises to sculpt, tone, and rebalance your entire body, with plenty of modifications and hands-on assists.
Each session is custom-tailored to your specific needs and goals.
Dynamic Mat Pilates is offered as individual 1-hour training sessions or as part of a more comprehensive strength building and muscular (re)conditioning program.
It is a dedicated and disciplined practice that needs to be done on a regular basis to provide lasting benefits.
